In July 2012, I had shoulder surgery and was scheduled for a lengthy period of therapy. I was told that recovery period for this type of surgery could be from three to six months. The therapy department scheduled the sessions for twice a week. Thanks to their constant care, I was released in less than three months.

Lawrence Medical Center is a great hospital. I have been going here for almost a year for lab work now. After I got home from UAB last year this place and the people that work here have been really good to me. I thank God that he has put me here with them.

Words cannot express my appreciation to Jan Drapers and her staff at the Lawrence Medical Outpatient Physical Therapy & Wellness facility, for their many kindnesses, concern and care that they gave me during my lengthy rehab from shoulder surgery. After having 3 surgeries in 1...massive bicep repair, bone fragments removed, and rotator cuff surgery at the Surgery Center in Huntsville, I was assigned to Lawrence County Medical Center in Moulton for after care.

None of us can ever know when we might need emergency help and living in a small town sometimes means that we're farther away from medical assistance but, thank God I live in Moulton where treatment was available when I needed it. I can't say enough about the excellent care and treatment I received on that day in March last year. I still have a lot of places to see and many more motorcycle trips to make thanks to the staff at Lawrence County Medical Center.

I want to commend the staff at this facility. From the E.D. doctor and nurses, everyone in the ancillary departments, and to my physician and the nurses who cared for me while I was hospitalized; all showed true compassion. They were professional, courteous and genuine. I do not think these are values that we often witness. The facility, itself, was very clean. Also a good quality in a hospital!

On November 25, 2013, Dr. Tuckier did a colonoscopy on me and found a carcinoid tumor - the chances of this being found by a colonoscopy is very rare.

On December 4, 2013, my 14 year wedding anniversary, Dr. Tuckier’s office called me to come in and talk with him. The tumor was cancerous.

On December 18, 2013, Dr. Bryan Griffin removed the tumor.

I was back home with my family for Christmas. I would like to thank Dr. Tuckier and the staff at Lawrence Medical Center for the great care I received and thanks for saving my life. That’s all any wife and mother could ask for. I’m able to watch my son grow up.
